DMW boss, Davido has open on how he signed some of the artists to his record label.
"I signed all my artists in weird ways, with Morravey I was scrolling through TikTok at like 3am, and I stumbled upon this girl who did an amazing cover of a song.
I had to find out who she was, so I scrolled through the comments and eventually found her.
She was hesitant at first because she thought I was trying to kidnap her, but I Facetimed her to show her that I was serious and was me Davido and am about making her a star.
Turns out, Morravey mother wasn't too keen on her pursuing music, but I spoke to her and convinced her to give her daughter a chance.
Eventually, she joined DMW and although she wasn't initially going to be on the album, I knew I had to include her because she's just that talented. And that's how we discovered our next big star!
